In this week’s episode, we continue our read-through of the Mockingbird Law & Gospel book in which we discuss forgiveness and justification. It turns out that the free gift of justification in Christ is in fact ‘more than a feeling’ (cue Boston). It is objective righteousness that exists outside of us, rooted in real concrete space/time history…yet it is imputed to us through the very legal declaration of the forgiveness of sins through the gospel.
